K ith And Coca-Cola Team Up For A Summertime Collaboration

founder and creative director Ronnie Fieg has always loved Coca-Cola since he was a kid. The sparkling Cola-flavored soda, “It evokes nostalgia and a sense of comfort,” said Fieg. “People cannot help but feel a familiar emotion when they see the Coca-Cola branding.” Fieg wanted to bring that on nostalgia to Kith, so he teamed up with Coca-Cola for a line of products that capture the iconic brand in a new way just for the warm summer months.

The Kith X Coca-Cola collection consists of a men’s and women’s apparel that put a new riff on the legendary red and white Coca-Cola logo. The Kith name and Coca-Cola’s graphic identity come together on limited edition bottles, hoodies, t-shirts, shorts, swim trunks, and a selection of warm weather gear that includes slides, beach towels, pool floats, ice cube trays and more. Converse got in on the fun with a three-way collaboration that includes a Kith X Coca-Cola white denim version of the Chuck Taylor All-Star 1970 model.

“I wanted to tell more of a summertime story. As New Yorkers, when we think of summer we think of the Hamptons,” said Fieg. “So the collection is really inspired by that setting and lifestyle.”

“We know Ronnie understands better than anyone how to create the right products that his fans love time and time again,” added Coca-Cola brand director Evan Holod. “He created products for this collection that are inspired by the summer, which fits perfectly with our brand because nothing tastes better than a delicious Coca-Cola in the summer.”

Holod says that creative partnerships like the collaboration are embedded in Coca-Cola’s DNA. “From the first Norman Rockwell collaboration to Andy Warhol and his famous Coke bottle paintings, Coca-Cola has always been a part of pop-culture and a favorite for artists,” said Holod. “We love partnering with people like Ronnie who have a real love and passion for Coca-Cola, who make it a part of their lives, and who live the brand like we do each and every day.”

Coca-Cola and Kith will launch the collaboration during the first week of August with an exclusive friends-and-family weekend. “Everyone will be outfitted in the product and get to experience it in the setting it was designed for,” said Fieg.
